Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No, you don't. The tool needs gender, birthday, health description, tobacco status, desired coverage amount, and how many years you want coverage. Just those six inputs are sufficient for carriers to provide quotes. Personal details like your name, address, and full health history stay private unless you decide to proceed with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

Those are the quotes each carrier provides for the health rating you entered. Your actual premium comes later from the carrier's underwriting process, which might confirm, raise, or lower your rating. This site's quotes are for comparison purposes and don't constitute an insurance offer or rate guarantee.

What happens when I click Apply?

Entering your name creates the application from your chosen quote, and it transfers to the carriers' secure application interface. You're free to pause and come back later, and signing happens electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency holding License 0B75129, administers the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the specific carrier, the coverage amount you select, and the information you provide. Some carriers offer rapid-decision programs for qualified applicants without medical exams; each quote indicates whether an exam is required, might be required, or isn't expected.

Is a longer term better?

Your term coverage should span the years when your income loss would harm your family: paying off a home loan, supporting minor children, covering a business obligation. Higher terms carry steeper monthly payments but fix your rate longer. The comparison tool displays 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. We don't gather personal information in the quote tool, we don't transfer or sell visitor data, and our analytics don't use cookies. Review the privacy page to see exactly what gets collected and by which parties.
