No-exam life insurance
Learn which people qualify for accelerated evaluation, the mechanics behind it, and what happens if you don't qualify.
Numerous insurers provide fast-track underwriting: within specific age and amount parameters, they decide based on your data, pharmacy records, driving history, and supplementary information rather than a paramedical appointment. Some approvals arrive the next day. Each quote indicates whether an exam is required, conditional, or not needed for that product.
What it changes
Expedited paths don't eliminate underwriting verification. The company checks your information, and policies based on untrue statements may be challenged within two years. If the carrier uncovers potential concerns in its research, it might request an independent exam or blood work; you decide whether to continue.
Who tends to qualify
Typically applicants under age 60 with requests within the carrier's fast-track ceiling, no serious health issues, and no smoking or vaping over a year. Current medical lab work from a recent check-up is sometimes acceptable instead of a separate exam.
A medical exam typically takes 20-30 minutes at your Poway home or workplace with a paramedic, free of charge. In healthy applicants, exam results often result in better ratings, so the exam isn't necessarily disadvantageous.
